First Carolling - St Nicholas Orphanage
Some members of  St. Gerard's Choir sang Christmas hymns at the St. Nicholas Orphanage at Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus, Ang Mo Kio Street 13, on 16 December 2001.
It was the Choir's first attempt at carolling.
Choir line-up
Our initial jitters at singing for the first time were overcome by the presence of the Holy Family who stood by us giving encouragement and inspiration. Soon our voices filled the hall and our singing rang out loud and clear. Someone coming in later commented that he thought our singing came from a radio broadcast. Maybe he was being kind, but it made our day, and we were happy that we brought some joy to the people there. Thank you dear Holy Family and Praise to God the Father!
